Sweethaven in May

ABOUT ABOUT

Make your reservations to visit Sweethaven Lavender, a great place to unwind and create memories. Our English lavenders bloom approximately Mother’s Day through mid-June, and our French lavenders typically bloom from early June through July 4th. During late June and July we also have zinnias available for picking. We cannot guarantee blooms during your visit because the bloom is weather dependent. Reservations are based off of past bloom times but that is not a guarantee of future blooms.

We’ve arranged our sign-ups to stay within the Virginia Department of Agriculture’s COVID-19 guidelines, so be assured that you and your family will have more than enough space to freely roam the farm safely.

Sweethaven is all about tranquility and natural beauty. Soak up some rays, inhale the fragrance of lavender on the breeze, cut your own bouquet to enjoy at home, and either pack your own picnic or pre-order one from us so that you can cast your cares away in our pastoral setting. U-pick bouquets are for sale at the farm for $8 each and registered guests may pick as many as they purchase. Please visit the check-in cottage to pay for your bouquet and receive U-pick tools and instructions.

Our delicious locally churned lavender ice creams, fresh lavender baked goods and candies, and our renowned lavender lemonade and sweet tea are available daily.

Honey bees, chickens, geese, and sheep also call Sweethaven home and are here for your visual enjoyment. For the safety of our livestock, no pet visitors are allowed.

Stop by the Mercantile to experience our skincare line (formulated and crafted on-farm), artisan-made gifts and lavender culinary products.

Personal photography is encouraged at no charge; however professional sessions will need a paid contract booked in advance through our photography page.

All sales are final -- there are no refunds.

Notes on Ordering Picnic Lunches

Orders for picnic lunches must be placed a full 48 hours before your scheduled visit. They will not be available for purchase on site.

In the event of forecasted inclement weather, we require an email to [email protected] by 7 p.m. the evening before your scheduled picnic lunch if you desire to reschedule your reservation and picnic for a different day. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you will be taking your chances with the weather and your picnic will be prepared for you and will be non-refundable. You can still come and shop and enjoy your picnic in the barn in the event of rain. The farm will stay open rain or shine.
